My printer uses an HP 308 cartridge, I have received a HP 68/308 which does not fit.

Hello
HP 308: Standard 308 ink cartridge.
HP 68/308: Multi-region / multi-model compatible packaging. The appearance and contacts may be different, so it is not guaranteed to be compatible.
If the cartridge model indicated on your printer or inner cover label is 308, we recommend using the HP 308 ink cartridge.
