Printer will not turn on.

HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281cdw

This morning I noticed that the power was off on the printer. Checked power outlet and there is power. Tried plugging the printer in other outlets and I get no power. How can I get the printer to turn on?

Printer will not turn on.

Hi @Quesadaesq,

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

follow these steps to reset the printer.

Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

   NOTE:

HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Let me know how that pans out. 🙂

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask any other queries as  well,

Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help. 😉

Printer will not turn on.

This is one of the best support replies I've seen.

User:  My printer is powered off and won't power on.  Checked outlet...

Support:  Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.....Let me know how that pans out.

I think I'll go bang my head against the wall now.
