Printing issue along right edge

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer suddenly started making some strange noises and smearing/scratching (rough to the touch) now appear on printouts. When I removed the toner cartridge and drum, slivers of a thin plastic material were curled up in the unit. Here's an image:

that printout suggests that the fuser film has torn as does your description of the noise and the debris you found in the printer. A new OEM fuser is likely as much as the printer itself.
