Printing vertical black line on left margin

Printer regularly prints vertical black line 1/4 inch from left edge of page.  Sometimes it does it on each page of multipage document.  Sometimes just on the first page.

I've had this problem with my envy 7855. Since I didn't see anything that was helpful I tried a few things from other posts which did not work. It dawned on me that the line reminded me of when you scan a small document. So...I changed the setting from fit to page to 100 and voila-no more line 🙂

I have the same issue.  It only happens when I print, not copy.  My printer is less than 40 days old.  Looking for anyone who has had the same issue, and knows how to fix it.

This did not fix my issue unfortunately. Still getting the black line on the 2nd and subsequent pages printed.
