HP Color Laser Jet CP4025

My HP CP4025 printer gives me the 49.FF04 error message. Here is what I have already done to try to fix:

- cleared all print jobs, restarted pc

- turned printer off/on

- unplugged all cables going in/out of printer

- installed new formatter board

- restarted pc and printer after new formatter board installed

I have gotten the printer in the ready state once, but once I printed, received the error message again. Cleared this error message by turning printer off/on and clearing print jobs.

Any time I try to calibrate or do any of the other menu options for maintenance on the printer, I end up getting the 49.FF04 error.

Can anyone advise on what steps to take next?

A couple of things that are not clear that you need to do:

1. does the printer come to ready if there is only a power cord attached?

2. Have you ensured that the firmware is the most current

3. have you ensured that there are no stale print jobs spooled anywhere.
