Hi, I am new to Laser print. I wanted to save money and I'm planning on getting a used one. The print count is 7,900. My question is is that a lot? If not what is the normal? Or high?

Thanks

No that is not a high amount of prints.  The machine should work fine might just need a cleaning if one has not already been done.  Some printers can last to a million prints with the proper upkeep I have seen some pass the million mark

your welcome,  If you want to be extra safe it would not hurt to spend the extra money on a protection plan from HP if you run into issue they can cover you.

If your happy with this info please leave me a Kudos

Most carepacks are only available equipment that is still covered under standard warranty. A low cost product like this is not likely worth putting under a maintenance plan. At this page count at most you might have to clean the pickup roller. Check the inside of the printer carefully to make sure they have not used a cheap reman cartridge and had a toner dump inside. If it feeds and prints ok it is probably fine.
