Every page that is printed (also does it on copies) has a red strip down the right side, about the width of a ruler. I have run the HP Diagnostics and it said everything was ok. None of the cartridges are empty.

As I stated, most likely a defective cartridge. There may be something stuck to the magenta drum unit, but if damaged replacement is really your only course of action. Replace the cartridge and 95% chance your problem will go away.

More likely a defective than empty cartridge. Can you post a picture of the defective page?

Cartdridges are definitely not empty. Here is a picture of a recently printed page with the red stripe. 20200623_155455.jpg

So I replaced the Magenta cartridge, and the red stripe did go away. Now there remains a slight yellow strip in the same area. I don't have a yellow one so I'll have to get one to replace that one also. Not sure how they could have gotten damaged, but that seems to be what the problem was. Thanks.
