Every so often, when my printer is in sleep mode, I'll try to print something, and I'll be notified the printer is not connected to the computer.  I'll go to my wireless setup wizard, find my wifi and enter password, and it'll start printing.  BUT last night when I did this, it printed the pending job, BUT it's stuck on some kind of apps page that says things like "quick forms, get more" & at the bottom says "photo, copy, scan, fax".  No matter what I do, pressing the home and/or back buttons, or even doing a hard reboot (unplugging printer at the back of it and at the wall and waiting a minute), it still keeps coming back to this screen and won't go anywhere else.  HELP!  Please.  Thanks.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I Understand you are unable to get back to the home page you once had and none of the buttons work as it did before, is that right?

The first thing to try is to see if you can get firmware updates. This might not work, if your printer cannot see your internet connection. Here are the instructions for that step: Getting the Latest Firmware & Driver updates from HP.

If issue persists, please perform a hard reset:

Follow these steps to reset the printer:

  •     Press the Power button to turn on the product.
  •     With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  •     Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  •     Wait at least 15 seconds.
  •     Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  •     Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  •     If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

Keep me posted for further assistance,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
