an install operation took too long to execute

laserjet pro 300 m351a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I have a  LaserJet pro 300 m351a - it works fine with other laptops. It used to work fine with my current laptop. It no longer works - I removed the printer and re-installed. Install program asks to connect printer - printer is detected but at 99% I get the above message. No printer is installed. I have even re-installed windows but still cannot get the printer to install. Please can you help?
