I had the printer clean itself which may have helped a little.  I do not see a settings button anywhere I am still getting some black streaks that go do each side.

if your defect is on every page it might just be the toner.  Replace the black toner

Can you post a sample? As suggested if the defect is only black it is quite possible that you have a bad black cartridge, but may also be a fuser or transfer belt issue.

The black toner is a little over half full it says.  I emptied the TCU.

That is either the black cartridge or the transfer belt/secondary transfer roller. If you have tried a different cartridge and that did not resolve the issue then open the right door and examine the roller in the door and the silver belt. I have seen this issue caused by a piece of paper from a jam getting caught in the wiper on the transfer belt. You need to remove the belt to test this. Is the printer still under warranty?
