The printer started to display 'paper jam' message, followed the steps described by HP to make sure that paper jam is resolved and nothing worked. Now it seems it won't even turn on.

Very frustrated!!!! Please help. Thanks

Hello,

so your printer will not power on?  Please check both ends of the power supplyu the purple connector part that plugs into the back of the printer and the 3 prong part that plugs into your wall outlet.  I would also try another outlet just in case.  Hopefully with that your printer will power up.

If you need to reset the printer to clear the error message you can try this.

Though I work for HP, My posts express MY opinion, and not those of HP.

"Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?" - Nigel Tufnel

The printer is plugged in correctly. Has since powered up and still does not work. Paper Jam message won't clear and I have done the power reset numerous times now.

Is there any other option I could do? Surely there must be something? Or does it need to go in for a service?

Thanks for the tips.

I am having this same issue.  I just bought my printer two months ago.  Were you ever able to resolve the issue?

Have any of you resolved this problem?? I have had my printer since around November - and all of a sudden I am having this problem and its driving me nuts! There is no paper anywhere near it and it tells me there is a paper jam - It was just fine, then I didn't use it for a couple of days because I ran out of ink. I replaced the cartridge and now it won't work. It gives me this very error code. Help!!!

Have you resolved your issue? It sounds kind of like what I am going through with mine. I was using wireless and all of the sudden it stopped working one day, and it said I had a paper jam, and there was nothing in the printer at all! I ended up being able to reset it but when I try to get wireless working, I get the paper jam error. I tried hooking it up with my usb and that wont work either!

I have the same problem. The printer came with my laptop, and I've barely printed anything with it. It was in the middle of a job (had already printed 2 pages) when it told me I had a jam. Before you ask, I did follow the instructions on the document you posted. No go. I'm going to contact HP and ask them if they know what the problem is.
