I have a new Color Laser jet Pro M254dw printer and I get the error message incompatible supplies. The ink cartridges came with the product. How do I fix this issue?

First, make sure you have the right cartridges in the right slots. If the product is brand new, contact HP technical support or the vendor you bought the printer from. I see no noted issues on my support site so it is not a common issue on this device, they may need to send you replacements or replace the printer.

Check the cartridge numbers on your supplies. They should read (for each of the colors):
CF500a or x - Black
CF501a or x - Cyan
CF502a or x - Yellow
CF503a or x - Magenta
202a or 202x may also be on the cartridges/boxes.
If the numbers are not these, then you have the wrong cartridges. Contact the seller for replacements.
