No error messages just prints what size has been set on the printer - takes no information on paper size or type when its set on the pc

Hi,

When you change paper, you must change the paper size setting for the printer itself and also from the driver if you have any specific size configured on your printer, this is expected.

You may change your printer setting to Any Size when reloading the paper, then you would only need to change the paper setup from the computer.

Thanks for the reply and info - all the other printers I have owned have taken size etc from the pc and did not have to be set on the printer itself - a learning curve.
