printer not working after windows 10 version 1709 update

HP Recommended
HP LaserJet 1020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can't get printer to work after windows update on 12/01.  Tried troubleshooting  with MSFT support..no luck.  Downloaded HP Print & Scan Doctor...no luck.  Any suggestions for me.

I understand that you are unable to print from your computer.

 

Uninstall and reinstall the printing software.

  1. Disconnect the USB cable if the USB cable is attached.
  2. Search Windows for programs and features, and then click Programs and Features in the list of results.
  3. Find the HP printer software in the list and uninstall it.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Reinstall the HP printer software. You can install the software from the installation disc that came with your printer or Click Here to get the HP Printer Drivers and Updates
  6. Try printing again.
