HP Laserjet Pro M254dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

attempted to run all troubleshooting hp programs with no success.

when attempting to print, green ticked on laptop connection to printer - however, states offline

when printer switched on/ and off several times no difference - monitor on printer only show a front screen, cannot use back or home buttons on left hand side of monitor - do not work, can print 'information sheet' on this front screen successfully and these four options will open when selected - default settings/ self-managed/ IT-managed/ print information screen

tried everthing I can think of - further ideas most thankfully received please?

Many thanks in anticipation of your reply

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  1. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  5. NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  7. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  8. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Try these steps for Printer offline: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-color-laserjet-pro-m253-m254-printer-series/14121301/model/1...
