There is a new option for the HDX ver 3.1.x and later that allows you to "mirror" monitor 1 to monitor 2...   It copies everything there...  Near/Far/Content...

When you set this on the HDX you loose the ability to change what connection Monitor 2 has...  Just set that first while specifying 16:9, get the output for the monitor there and THEN click on "Monitor 1 Image"... bingo, you have the same image on 2 as you have on 1...   No extra hardware....

From the API, you use "configdisplay monitor2 Monitor_1_Image" to turn it on.

Cheers,

that is cool.

Is there a trick to making this setting stick after a re-start? If I power down, or restart my unit, the mirroring setting does not stay, and I have to reset it.

I guess I could send a series of API commands to set it all back up on a restart, but it would be nice if it would just stay the way I set it.

Doug,

AFAIK this bug was reported to Polycom RnD and they promised it being fixed in the next release.

We are waiting...

WBR,

Mike
