G7500 Upgrade question

Hello community ,

I'm configuring a unit that's out of the box G7500, with Version: 3.3.2-286154 - can I directly point to the update server to go to 4.1.0.382263 i.e. using the update server address, http://swupdate.lens.poly.com/polyos/4.1.0/382263

Or do I need to do it via Polycom Support site which shows - Version Found 3.14.2-378005, if I can do the above is preferred, please advise, if there is documentation on recommended, also please provide the link.

Welcome to the HP Poly community!
It is not recommended to update the firmware directly to 4.1.0.382263; doing so will cause the device to malfunction. Please upgrade the firmware one by one, starting with 3.3.2 and progressing the process up to 4.1.0.
