A customer has existing Polycom RealPresence Desktop service and this are registered with a server. They also want to integrate Polycom group series 500 with Polycom RealPresence Desktop. Now my questions are,
- What type of server and software need for registering the Real presence desktop?
- RealPresence Desktop can work in different network or only work in same network?
- Is it possible to integrate group 500 with Real Presence Desktop?
- What is the procedure of integration of group series 500 with RealPresence Desktop?
- Need any license for integration?
I would be very grateful if you let me share those information.

Hello ibbulbul,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Both the Group Series and the RealPresence Desktop register to Polycom infrastructure either via H.323 or SIP.
Both of these utilize industry standards and are compatible with the release note listed products that we tested.
As long as they are used in a routeable network no gatekeeper or similar is required for both of them to make calls. No license is needed as long as only H.323 or SIP is being used.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
