HDX 4000 admin password reset

Hi.

I'm a new IT employee working for a company that has a site in France and another one in the US. I don't know Polycom systems at all. The previous technician working here has never given the admin password to anyone and we don't know how to recover it.

I've seen a topic here about the HDX 7000 default password, and I've tried the explained solution. But the 14-digits serial didn't work. I really need to reset this password to change the system's IP.

But as I know nothing about this kind of video conferencing systems and as contacting the guy who has installed it is impossible, I would like to know if resetting the password without resetting the full configuration would be possible. 

My request also means that if I'ld have to reset the full config, I'm affraid to be unable to configure it again correctly (at least a way that would allow my boss office Polycom system to communicate with our US office Polycom).

I have to disappoint you, there is no way to reset password without deleting other system settings. For more details please refer to 'HDX Admin Guide' -> 'Using the Restore Button...' >>> Here <<<
