Hi all,

We have just purchased an HDX 7000, we are using it via IP. Can someone please explain to me about the video rate used, When I connect to a Tandberg 990mxp the rate is only about 200k , does the endpoint have something to do with my transmit rate? But when I connect to one of Polycom test sites I get about 700k. How do i make the transmit rate faster?

Thanks, Nick.

HDX 7000 is delivered with the capability to support call speed upto 6MB.

Yes, that´s true. The systems "talk" to each other and use the highest bandwith possible.

If the far site is only capable of sending and receiving 200k, this is the connection speed you´ll get.

You could take a look at the administrator guide, which can be found here, to change your prefered call Speeds depending on your local bandwith.
