We moved our HDX7000 (Quad-Bri-Interface) and we are using now four new ISDN ports.

It is not possible to make any outgoing calls or get incoming calls.

The provider who installed the four ISDN lines didn't trust me that there is a problem with that lines. When connecting a phone to these lines it is possible to make or receive calls.

But anyway I believe that there is a configuration issue with the lines.

I had a look at the system log of our HDX7000 and found the following:

Anybody an idea what the issue can be?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Can you make a voice only call from the HDX 7000?

I would guess you can, which means that the provisioning at the telco probably does not include data capabilities.

Thank you for the answer.

Unfortunatly it is also not possible to make voice calls.

Wait, in your first message you said that you could connect a phone to these lines and make a call.   Is that an analog phone ?   Did you get dial tone ?   If so, those are NOT ISDN lines...   there is no dial tone when you plug in an analog phone into those lines..

If you are getting dialtone, you need to escolate with your situation with the carrier.

We connected an ISDN-Phone and it was possible to make an outgoing phone call.

ISDN lines are configured for Voice or Data or Voice and Data.   Videoconferencing uses the Data mode.   If your line is configured for Voice online, it will NOT be able to do a Videoconferencing call.   Make sure the line is configured for either "Data" or "Voice and Data".

ISDN lines are configured for voice and data.

I spent some time today with a voice engineer and we have recorded some ISDN traces.

When doing an outgoing call the HDX is removing all zero's at the beginning and providing a wrong number to dial. Not a surprise why the call's are fail when instead of 00xxxxxx only xxxxxx is provided.. Does anybody have an idea why the VC removes the zero't at the beginning.

Incoming calls seem to be now working, voice call is already tested and I need to do an video test.

By the way, thanks for all your answers.

Kind regards

Holger

It sounds like a SPID issue...   Are you set to the right Switch type ? (just wondering)..

We have setup ETSI Euro-ISDN as protocol (System is installed in Germany)

and

we have configured the four BRI lines with their correct numbers assigned to each line
