HDX 8000 calls last E.164 number used instead of the conference room number actually dialed

We run a DMA7000 (4.0.2_Build_6), CMA4000 (6.0.2.ER7) and a couple of RMX's (7.6.0.170 & 7.7.0.76). Our endpoints (38 in total) are all HDX8000 running v3.0.5-22695, distributed across 8 sites.

Our preferred method is for users to dial a Virtual Meeting Number (Conference Rooms configured on the DMA) for all meetings. Occassionally users will call another endpoint directly using the local directory. This call is made using the E.164 number of the selected endpoint.

What seems to be happening, somewhat randomly, is that a user will attempt to dial the Virtual Meeting Number but the endpoint will try to connect with the E.164 number that it last used. The user can try a different VMN but the endpoint still tries to use the last E.164 number.

If anyone has heard of a similar issue or can shed some light on this it would be great to know.

Hi Moony...

an explanation could be:

If a user dials an endpoint directly via the addressbook it will use the e.164 of the far side endpoint.

After disconnecting the call the e.164 address might still be present as extension in your "place a call" screen (double check that).

If  someone now enters the vrm number and  dials the hdx will try to connect to the E.164 instead of the entered number.
