In the spirit of sharing I thought you'd all like to hear this one.

An AV/VC tech in a deployment of 30 odd HDXs  & VSX spotted this & fixed it (we think).

HDX8k V3.1.1.3 in a 1920k call received 64k audio & the rest in video just fine @ 25fps but in the same call stats only sent 64k audio & 32 k video @ 5 fps.  It also randomly rebooted in calls.  Another end point on the same network (same V3.1.1.3) did 1920k both ways fine @ 25fps.

The only difference between the 2 was the the working call had AES when available on at both ends.  The failing system had AES OFF & the far end had it when available.

Changing the failing system seems to have cured the random reboots & poor video rate.

So far 🐵

I was impressed as these hard pushed techs have to support all maner of stuff that is even remotely connected with AV and expected to be expert in all of them.
