3 days ago our HDX7000 seems to have started calling itself.  The recent calls lists 6-8 calls per day.  The calling # for each instance is our IP address preceeded by a number and the @ symbol.  (i.e., 9000@192.168.0.1).

If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

I am also having this issue.  If a Polycom Rep could provide some guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'd update to the latest software rev (3.1.1.2).  It has security fixes in there, just in case that is the issue.  There are fixed in there for hacking.

Was there any resolution to this?  My HDX7000 is doing this now, and I have the latest update.  Any info would be appreciated.

Hello all,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

This is an external source attempting to use your HDX most likely via SIP to start a call to an external party.

This is know as toll fraud and usually is used with SIP telephony systems.

I would suggest you monitor your network traffic for the incoming IP address and you may want to disable SIP if this is not used.

Go to System > Admin Settings > Network > IP > SIP Settings and untick the box for SIP.

For any more details I suggest you work with your Polycom reseller and/or Polycom support directly.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Take a look at Michael's advise >>> here <<< as well as the discussion >>> here <<<. I could add that any firewall providing the black/white list option may be used to solve the issue.

Hello Chaitanya,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Apr 07,2015 Question: How can I prevent Phantom calls to my Video Solution?

Answer: A local Firewall or a Polycom Firewall traversal solution can be utilized to stop this. In order to add this to a possible future Software version in the form of a whitelist please contact Luriep => here <= or Security Center: Security Bulletin Relating to Worldwide Botnet Dialing H.323-Capable Systems

I am closing this post as the other post should be used as the master post.

Best Regards
