Hi,
I can not seem to enable SIP and 802.1x on a HDX7000 we have. Are these features optional and require a key?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Fred.

Ah ! I solved it myself. It depends om which browser you use. I has nothing to do with optionkeys or standard functionality. Is is standard luckily.
Sorry for keeping you from real work, but thanks for your effort.
regards,
Fred.

Hello @Fred Jansen,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.
The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .
In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello @Fred Jansen,
- From the Web UI usually simply browse to : Admin Settings > LAN Properties
- From the TV UI usually simply browse to : System > Admin Settings > LAN Properties
If this does not work then maybe you are using a wrong password / user name.
The Unit was sold via Go Telecom B.V. back in 22/12/2009 so maybe worth looking at something more current.

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestions. I know where to find the settings, but the problem is that I cannot check the checkbox next to SIP nor the one next to 802.1x so I was wondering if these features need an Option-key to be enabled of that they should be an operational part of the system by default.
And I know these are very old systems, which is proof of the quality of this Polycom prodcut; they still function very well.
I am curious about the anser to my question if the two above mentioned features are Option-key enabled extensions or standard.
Thank you !

Hi Fred,
You were mentioning about being able to click on SIP and 802.1x (IE strikes again!...Chrome is handy. 🙂 )
...have you enabled 802.1x on your Polycom HDX-7000, and did it work? We are trying to get it to work on one of our HDX-8000s, with (so far) no success.

Hello @michelle_7728,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
Both the community's Must Read First and the community's FAQ reference the basic minimum information a new or follow up post should contain.
This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.
It would really help the community members to explain a bit more in detail what your infrastructure is and where you are struggling.
Without providing any basic information like software version and any errors you get etc. they cannot really try and help.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
