Hello thyhk215,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
- HDX Software Version 3.0.5 added Microsoft® Lync® 2010 qualification
- HDX Software Version 3.1.2 added Microsoft Lync 2013 compatibility
In addition if you previously purchased an RTV license for Microsoft Lync 2010, you can request a free RTV license supported for Microsoft Lync 2013.

Hello thyhk215,
this device should support any compatible 3.1.x software and the latest at present is 3.1.8
You may be unable to upgrade due a lack of upgrade Key but the unit itself can be upgraded once you purchase the relevant license to operate any new software.
The above is the requirement as outlined what versions of software on the HDX support what versions of Microsoft LYNC.
