Dear community,
I have the following task and would appreciate your guidance.
We are trying to integrate Poly X72, an older Polycom system (Poly Studio E70), and Zoom.
The main goals are:
When we schedule meetings in Zoom, I want them to appear on both X72 and E70 calendars.
I also need to make direct SIP calls between X72 and E70 without going through Zoom.
Both devices should have synchronized calendars with Zoom (we are using Google Calendar).
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
When using Zoom Rooms mode on the X72, the device works well with Zoom but cannot call SIP devices directly, so I switched back to Poly Mode.
In Poly Mode, I tried connecting through Cisco/Polycom Rooms using Zoom Cloud Room Connector, but the X72 fails to provision for some reason.
I also attempted calendar integration — we’re using Google Calendar, but X72 only supports Microsoft Exchange natively.
Has anyone managed to successfully:
Use Zoom CRC with Poly X72 in Poly Mode,
or integrate Google Calendar on X72 to show Zoom meetings?
Any advice or configuration examples would be highly appreciated!

Hello @PolyAdmin, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Poly Studio X72.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

To achieve the integration and objectives you mentioned with the Poly Studio X72, Poly Studio E70, and Zoom, follow these guidelines based on the features and capabilities described in the Poly VideoOS release notes:

Zoom Integration with Poly Systems

Zoom Rooms Setup:

  • Ensure both Poly Studio X72 and Poly Studio E70 are set up to use Zoom Rooms mode. This will allow meetings scheduled in Zoom to appear on their calendars, provided they are integrated with your Google Calendar.

Google Calendar Integration:

  • Make sure that you have configured each device to connect to a shared or individual Google Calendar linked to the Zoom Room. This allows scheduled meetings to appear on both Poly systems.

Poly VideoOS Settings:

  • Check that the Poly VideoOS on both devices is updated to a version compatible with Zoom Rooms. Use the Poly update server, Poly Lens, or Zoom Device Manager to ensure that they are on compatible firmware.
  • For Zoom Rooms mode, ensure your devices are configured and registered correctly with the Zoom Rooms controller.

Direct SIP Calls between Poly Studio X72 and E70

SIP Configuration:

  • Configure the devices on your network to support SIP dialing. You can typically do this from the device's web interface, where you can enter SIP server details, user credentials, and directory information.

Direct Dialing:

  • Enable SIP registration on both the Poly Studio X72 and the E70 systems to enable direct SIP calls. Enter the appropriate SIP address (URI) to call directly without using a service like Zoom.

Synchronization and Troubleshooting

Poly Lens and Device Management:

  • Use Poly Lens, a management tool, to configure and maintain device settings if available. This can help in managing calendar integrations and updates more effectively.

Testing and Validation:

  • Make test calls and meetings to ensure that the configurations work as expected. Validate that the calendar entries appear on both devices and that SIP calls connect successfully without using Zoom.

Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that firmware and software on both devices are the latest available versions from Poly. Check for any specific updates or notes in the Poly VideoOS Release Notes potentially addressing Zoom compatibility and SIP call enhancements.

By following these steps, you should be able to achieve the required integration for scheduled meetings to appear on both systems and facilitate direct SIP calls

Take care and have an amazing day!

Dears, we converted X70 to zoom room mode and added it to zoom room. Old devices like E70 is added to zoom using Polycom rooms connector. We have several devices added Polycom rooms mode and they are fully integrated with Zooms and see each other using local IP address. Now I am trying to make SIP calls using IP address but answer is failed to connect. I used standard SIP mode from Poly X70 but nothing is happenig. What I am doing wrong?

Also please be informed that old model is realpresense 310, not E70, my mistake. So we want to call other Polycom devices which are connected using Polycom Rooms- Zoom connector using direct SIP mode.

Hello @PolyAdmin ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

My colleague @Meghana_10 already replied with suggestions.

For your new current devices, like the Studio X72, you can use Native Zoom as the Provider. They can also do old-style H.323 or SIP, but not at the same time.

The end-of-support device Polycom RealPresence 310 can only do SIP or H.323, and if you want to use this with Zoom, you will need to work with Zoom support on how you can set up a calendar feature and dial into a Zoom Meeting.

This is outside the scope of this peer-to-peer community.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen,

"They can also do old-style H.323 or SIP, but not at the same time" - Can we use SIP when this device X70 in zoom mode? I see SIP configuration in Poly lens buy no calls are working to old SIP devices.

Hello @AlexKerling ,

When the Studio X70 is in Zoom Provider mode, the "native" SIP settings will not work.

As already suggested, if no other volunteers reply, please work with the Zoom Support team or consider contacting our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards
