poly x30

Hello everyone,

We are super dissatisfied with HP Poly support for out of warranty devices. Our Poly X30 is recently out of warranty and has a defective speaker. According to support, there are no official repair centers for these devices, seriously?

If anyone knows someone who repairs Poly hardware in the DACH area, I would be very grateful for a short message. Otherwise I have a fancy 1500€ paperweight here.

Kind regards

Andi

Hello @Andi_Kon ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

As this is the official HP Poly community only an RMA is the option we can discuss here. We do not support 3rd Party repairs and cannot recommend any of these.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen,

thanks for the reply. Lets discuss RMA then. How can we make an RMA at our own expense?

Kind regards

Hello @Andi_Kon ,

Raise a ticket via https://support.hp.com/us-en/poly or work your previous ticket and request an RMA. The agents should be able to explain the cost etc.

Also, not that I have heard of a broken speaker before, but if you use a modern screen via HDMI can you not simply use the TV Speakers?

Best Regards

Hi Steffen,

yes we could use the TV Speakers but this might cause sound echoes etc. and won't fix the issue that something is broken with our X30.

This is by the way the translated reply from HP support which led me to believe that RMA is not possible?

"Thank you for your feedback. As the device is out of warranty and therefore cannot be replaced, and we do not offer repair for OOW (out of warranty), I can only recommend that you try a factory reset of the device, perhaps also a cross test, to ensure that it is the X30."

But if you say it should be possible, I might reopen the ticket.

Kind regards

Andi
