Android 9.0 Pie

Hello,

 

 

We have a couple of Poly X50 and X70 devices, all in the MTRoA environment, but for some reason I don't see the option in the configuration profiles in TAC to upload custom backgrounds.

What am I missing? Is it maybe 4.3.0?

 

Firmware 4.2.2 and Teams app 1449/1.0.96.2024080804.

welcome back to the HP Poly community.

 

I would usually suggest you check for this feature with a Microsoft-hosted community as it is their feature which does not have to do with the Poly Software.

 

Stating this check my colleague Uwe Ansman's page https://aitsc.de/blog/neues-mtroa-release-1449-1-0-96-2024080804/ as he covers this in detail.

 

If you find any issues I suggest you open a Microsoft Ticket.

The option of custom background appeared in TAC with the first device upgrade to 4.3.

I am not aware that our Partner Microsoft rolled out PolyOS 4.3.0 via the TAC. You can upgrade this via the Poly Support page but our Partner Microsoft is "sitting" this version out.

 

I believe the next Microsoft-certified release is either PolyOS 4.3.1 or PolyOs 4.3.2 via the TAC.

 

Regardless of the Poly Software version the functionality to change the Background via the Microsoft TAC came with their firmware 1449/1.0.96.2024080804

 

Simply downgrade your device to PolyOS 4.2.2 and re-check.

The update was not done from TAC, it was from the web interface of the actual device. The Download Update form was left for Polycom Support Site by a mistake and it auto-updated to 4.3.0. The next day the custom backgrounds option appeared in the configuration profile option. Maybe it was a coincidence.
