Subject: Issue with Poly GC8 (P024) Configuration and Teams Connection in Meeting Room

Dear HP Support Team,

We are experiencing an issue with our Poly GC8 (model P024) device in our meeting room. Previously, there was a synchronization issue with our new Azure environment, which should now be resolved. Last week, one of our colleagues updated the Poly device using both Windows and the Poly app installed on the PC connected to the device. A license is active on the device, but it does not appear when we check the Poly's configuration settings (please see attached photo for reference).

Additionally, Microsoft Teams continues to search for a connection but fails to connect. We attempted to connect the device using only an Ethernet connection (without Wi-Fi), but this did not resolve the issue. With only Wi-Fi enabled and Ethernet disconnected, the PC reports no connection to Teams.

Could you please assist us in identifying and resolving this connectivity issue? We would appreciate any guidance on further steps to ensure the Poly GC8 connects correctly with Teams.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Hi @Lionne Welcome to Poly HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with the Poly GC8. I understand how important it is to have the device working smoothly, especially with Teams.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Network Configuration: Make sure the Poly GC8 is connected to the correct VLAN or subnet that allows it to reach the Microsoft Teams servers.

2. Firewall/Security Policies: Check that there are no firewall or security policies blocking the connection to Teams. Ensure the necessary ports are open for communication with Teams.

3. LAN Cable and Device: Try using a different LAN cable and/or test with a different device connected via LAN to isolate the issue.

4. Teams Admin Center: Log out of the Teams Admin Center and sign back in to refresh the connection.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, I recommend reaching out to HP Support. Their engineers should be able to help resolve the problem. You can contact them directly through this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/poly

I hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance. If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution more easily by giving Kudos/Thumbs Up and marking my post as an Accepted Solution.

Hello @Lionne ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

The GC8 is just a USB device connected to MTRoW, acts like an extra Screen, and has an HDMI input.

Which HP Poly Model are you using?

  • Dell
  • Lenovo
  • HP Mini

This looks like a network issue. I can see you are already on the latest MTR version, 5.2.115.0, so this should be fine.

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards
