Hello, we’re using a Poly X70 in our conference room, and users have been reporting microphone quality issues. Since we're currently using the integrated mic, are there any configuration settings you guys recommend adjusting to improve performance? Ideally, we’d like to resolve this through proper setup if possible. If not, what options do we have for compatible expansion mics for the X70? Thanks in advance.

Hello @HugoM96 ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the HP Poly Software, or the Partner application version you use. For example, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms, Poly SIP/H.323 mode, etc.

This is important, especially in the future, when someone finds this post in days, months, or years.

Please do not simply edit the original post, but reply with the versions.

In the FAQ or the Read 1st section, we remind users why this is important.

From the above Video FAQ we have:

Aug 13, 2024 Question: Is there a guide or overview for supported and compatible peripherals for a G62, G7500, or Poly Studio X family and what Provider or Partner Mode are these supported?

Resolution: Please check >here<

The above outlines what options are possible based on the provider used.

In addition, what is the room layout?

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best regards

We had similar issues and tried experimenting with some of the audio settings like NoiseBlock AI V2 and Acoustic Fence. Noiseblock AI V2 helped somewhat with cutting down background noise but it can't do much if the meeting participants are too far away or speaking quietly. Acoustic Fence made that worse by cutting out low level voices so we ended up turning that back off. The real solution ended up being connecting the Poly Expansion Microphone and placing it on the meeting room table to get closer to where the meeting participants were speaking.
