Hi,

I have a Polycom HDX 8000 and I have 3 x ceiling microphone arrays.

Now, I know the HDX 8000 can support 3 x ceiling mic arrays, that is no problem, but I also have 1 lectern mic and 2 wireless mics I want to use.

Now I have a SoundStructure C8.

My question is, can I plug the 3 ceiling mic arrays into the mic inputs on the codec, and then use the SoundStructure to route the other 3 non-Polycom mics to the main audio input (set to microphone)? will I have any issues with muting or AEC?

Any help greatly appreciated, because I want to avoid having to purchase a C16 (a C12 won't be enough with the 3 ceiling arrays going into it, because I also have content source audio on top of the Polycom and non-Polycom mics to route).

Regards

Shane

If you are feeding the SoundStructure into an analog input on the codec it should work.  If you mute the codec it will mute that input also, but it will not be signalling the SoundStructure at all as it would be if you connected the SoundStructure to the CLink (digital) input.
