Hi,

We installed a new Realpresence Group Series 500 which is running on software version 4.1.4. We are using two RMX on differnet location (UK and South Africa). We tested making a multipoint calls from the UK bridge, everything was working fine. We tested from the SA bridge and the video quality was poor with high packet loss (40%). We tested 1 site from the SA RMX to the new unit, the video was fine, when adding additional sites, or sending content the video quality dropped. All our VC units (HDX's) are on the same IP range and all working fine from both RMX. We checked the network settings and the QoS settings, all looks fine.  Could be the problem with the codec or this issue is network related?

Many thanks.

Regards,

Roland

I am not real clear on the issue and the configurations you have tested.

The first question is when you test the unit to test numbers, like listed on the Polycom support web site or the ones below, do you see the issue.

If I were to guess based upon what you have provided and what I am interpreting from it, the issue will be with the network, not enough bandwidth or the QoS is not allowing priority on all the media from the site.

Other test numbers:

Test your video at: 71.14.2.158 or 71.14.2.157

Digital Video Loopback at: 71.14.2.154
