Hi Community. My impression from thge QDX Usr & Admin Guides is that if we connect a Recording device to monitor 1 composite output and a component monitor & grab the audio from VCR audio out to said rtecording device we can record near & far, side by side with near & far audio.  Any have a QDX or can re-assure us that that'll work?  VCPeteT

Pete,

Yes, this works. But keep in mind:

1. All three connectors (Component, S-Video, Composite) of monitor 1 show the identical video. So if you want to record "side by side" you have to show also "side by side".

2. The near video can be shown on monitor 1 only if monitor 2 is off (Number of Monitor = 1).

Mike
