Hello, As I understand that RP Mobile can do Auto Pair with ultrasonic by sending unhearing signal between mic&speaker of our codec & ipad. I don't know whether its mean we can pair it without any other WLAN signal, or not? Does it just turn on Smart Pairing --> Auto Detection on iPad only, or do we need to turn on any other parameters in codec. It totally doesn't work in my lab. As of my trial, I need to do manual pair over WLAN at all time. No auto detect can be found by ultrasonic as claim.

Thank you for your professional advice. I have sucessfully do auto pairing. BTW, I feel it has some unstability issue as its pairing is depend on signal (iPad should near to endpoint). Also, it still requires WLAN signal for communicate all the rest of features. It can't be functioned independent (like those IR remote control function) without WLAN signal, isn't it?

Hello ,Cha-IM,
the initial pairing is done via a tone emitted from the End point in a room so therefore being near a speaker should be sufficient.
The actual communication between the Real Presence Mobile and an endpoint is via a reliable bidirectional protocol aka TCP and uses telnet.
You will therefore always need a local LAN connection as you can start a call via your mobile device and then walk into a meeting room and transfer the call to the codec in that room.
For more details please work your your Polycom reseller.
