What's New

Poly Studio V52 with Poly VideoOS Lite 1.4.0 includes the following features:

• Updated 3072-bit certificates for greater security

• Poly DirectorAI improvements

Updated 3072-bit certificates for greater security

A 3072-bit encryption certificate is a more secure type of digital security key compared to shorter 2048-bit keys, ensuring better security for sensitive information. The 3072-bit certificate identifies the device for network access such as 802.1x, Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP), and web proxy.

Note the following information about provisioning:

• You can provision 3072-bit certification for all devices via SCEP in Poly Lens. When your 2048-bit certificates expire, the SCEP server sends 3072-bit certificates.

Poly DirectorAI Improvements

There have been several updates to the AI and machine learning technology behind Poly DirectorAI in Poly VideoOS Lite 1.4.0.

The machine learning model for head detection has been retrained to significantly improve detection rates and better handle low-contrast situations.

People framing has been improved based on customer feedback. The speed of head framing decisions/transitions has been increased while logic around proximity framing has also been improved to minimize layout changes and stabilize the experience.

Device Management	PVENG-12023	On Poly Studio V52, the LED is moves back in forth during system restart instead of breathing white.
Network	PVENG-21044	On Poly Studio V52 systems, no radio device provisioning incorrectly reports SUCCESS for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth provisioning.

Camera	PVENG-26143	A Poly Studio V52 camera connected to the front USB Type-C port of an HP Mini IP Conference PC with Microsoft Team Rooms isn't recognized.	Connect the Poly Studio V52 to the blue USB Type-C port on the back of the conferencing PC.
Camera	PVENG-23091	On Poly Studio V52, video fails to initialize while using an Icron Range 2311 with the system.	Connect the Poly Studio V52 directly to the conferencing PC using the supplied USB Type-C cable.
Software update	PVENG-25087	In the system web interface, the software update screen may report that a valid update server address is invalid.	Restart the system or wait, for some time, and the system will self resolve recognizes the URL as valid.
