Hi there,

 

I have a question - I understand that VSX 7000(64mb) is already End of service life, but  I have a VSX 7000 (64mb) the service maintenance expired in 2005 and I wanted to update the system with the 2007 released update. Apparently Polycom rejected all order for EOSL products.

 

Is there any alternative to update the software?

What is the current firmware version?  If you are needing to upgrade to the latest firmware (9.0.6.2) from an earlier version like 8.0. then you will need an upgrade key code to install it.  If you are just doing a patch to the firmware say 9.0.5 to 9.0.6.2 then you shouldn't need this.  If there is no longer coverage on this system there is no way to get the latest firmware for that machine unless you add coverage to the unit.

Thank you for your information. I actually face the same issue. I need upgrade the firmware of my VSX 7000 (64mb) from 8.7.1 to 9.0.6.2. How do I get the key code? Do I need to purchase it from Polycom?

 

I would appreciate any information you provide.
