We are proud to announce new Poly Studio Series video bars and remote room control with Poly Connect. Read more about the solutions!

We have mounted the Studio x30 inverted under the TV display using the inverted kit and changed the Orientation to Inverted for Input 1 (Camera) and the Camera appears correctly. However in a Teams meeting, if you attempt to screen share via HDMI, it is also inverting the content (upside down) for the local TV display. Remote participants on Teams meetings see the content being shared correctly.

Running the latest 3.9 release which includes HDMI screen sharing support.

Hello @akarimian ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

At present 3.9.1 is the latest release but this is a known issue when in Provider mode with our Partner Microsoft.

I suggest logging this with support as the next 3.10 release will not yet have the fix.

Please mention 33900578 and if you want to raise this with our Partner Microsoft mention Visual Studio 298453

At least this way our support team can update you on the progress

Is there any update to this?

appears to be one step forward two steps back all the time with these poly devices... can't believe this wasn't tested... we finally get teams HDMI ingest after about 12 months of waiting but it still won't work properly if the camera is mounted the opposite way...

this would appear to be a very simple fix... teams is sending the screen image the correct way to everyone in the meeting, just anyone using the actual room needs to stand on their head to participate... once again makes the device in teams mode totally useless....

almost 18 months after purchasing these devices we are still getting users to plug a 'temporary' usb cable into the device and run teams directly from the laptop just to get any value out of the camera at all.. by the time these bugs are sorted out and the camrea actually works as per the marketing materials I'll be dusting cobwebs off them....

Hello @customerA ,

Welcome to the Poly Community.

Is this a Studio X 30 that is mounted in an inverted position aka under a TV screen?

If yes, as you missed this detail amongst others, the actual bug is caused by the Teams APK by our Partner Microsoft. The bug ID for Microsoft is VSO 298453

The good news is our engineering team worked around the bug and the latest software 3.11 includes a fix for this.

Please upgrade to this version and re-test. The delay regarding the actual support for HDMI ingests functionality to be added by our Partner Microsoft was due to the lack of their app not having this feature for our hardware.

All other supported Providers have had HDMI ingest for some time now.
