In working with two VS4000's we were trying to use multiple video outputs.  On both units, the 1st video output is the main cam, the 2nd is a self-view, but the 3rd and 4th outputs are both blank screens.  I have tried both S-Video and Composite to no avail.  I was wondering what these two outputs are for since we don't seem to be getting any signal out of them.  I have researched online and have found no info on the third and fourth outputs.

I know these are old units, but any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

VS4000 uses the 3rd and 4th monitors only in multipoint calls. More details can be found in Admin's Guide at http://support.polycom.com/PolycomService/support/emea/support/video/other_video/vs4000.html.

Thanks so much Mike!

You'll have to forgive me.  But I've gone through the monitor sections and, now, the multi-point sections in that admin guide multiple times but I'm still not seeing any info on those outputs.  I'm assuming that monitor 3 would be "Site 1" in multi-point mode and monitor 4 would be "Site 2".  Is this correct?  (Also, do you have the page reference for the guide?  I've done multiple word searches but maybe I'm still not looking in the right area.)

Thanks again!

Forgive me too. I referred to my copy of "ViewStation FX/VS4000 User Guide" issued in 2002. There was Annex B "Multiple Monitors Support", in the next editions this annex is omitted. This guide says about the Four Monitors Mode:

Hope this will help
