current ver. 8.5.3   attempting update to 9.0.6,2

SN is 82051405BCAFMK

obtained key code  (activated date 2008/06/27 by System)

see attachment for visual of error 

I am connected to VSX. ran downloaded file from laptop.

entered IP of device and remote pword.

says :softupdate cannot update vsx 7000. download appropriate soft update from web site.

 

read documents on installing ...when / where do i enter the key code once/if this ever starts to update?

 

what is my next step?

Please check this post in the Software Licensing section => here <=

 

Checking your serial number shows the 9.0 Key Code should be U259-14E9-7F80-0000-0384

 

Usually you would need to add this via the Units Web Interface.

 

Please bear in mind that the actual unit was sold back in 05/10/2005

Hi Steffen,

 

Yes, that is the key code i have also.   Reading your link, am i to interpret that it is not activated?    I never get to a point in the update where i am prompted for a key code . I do not believe i enter it in the option key spaces.  But, as i can not get the update to progress past the point after i enter the address and password to begin the install I am at a loss to know the next step.
