I have an X50 that was bought used. I have tried multiple pinhole resets on the unit (I don't have the admin password from the previous user) and it will not reset.

When watching the boot sequence during reset, I see the following:

Finding update package...

Opening update package...

Verifying update package...

Update package verification took 4.4 s (result 0).

Installing update...

E:Can't write to file /tmp/update.zip

E:failed to write /tmp/last_install: No space left on device

Installation aborted.

Rebooting...

Is there any recovery from this? Any way to force a reset from a USB drive or possible to get root access to the device to clear out the previous installation?

Hello @mthiker ,

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

The Pin Hole reset should recover the unit to the Image that is on the factory partition.

Not knowing if this unit is a beta or pre-production and/or connected to a Poly Lens account we can only advise to work with whoever sold this to you as we cannot remove the unit without proof of ownership.

Best Regards
