Hi,
One of our admins left the business and didnt leave us with the details to login to our polycom realpresence group 500.
Is there anyway that we can reset the admin password without defaulting the unit. We have some remote vonfigs setup and i dont want to set all these up again.
I am trying to get to a login prompt via the browser but am not getting nothing at all. i know that port 5060 is most likely the one that i need to login, but not looking good so far.
Any help will be most appreacated as this is used on a daily basis.
Regards and thanks again.

Hello NMFMG,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
To my knowledge this is not possible and would not be very secure. How about simply contacting the person who used to look after this?
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

The Administrator's Guide has details of resetting a system when the passord is forgotten. Just do a search on the document for "forg" and you will find it. Be sure to read the whole section because you are resetting the system and details about the system configuration will be reset.

Hi, I have seen the manual, unfortunalty i am not even getting a login prompt, the port number is not what i thought it was, and still no way of actually getting to the login screen as of yet.
I think most likely i will have to bite the bullet and do a factory reset, but dont want to really do that all.
