HP Omen-15 WLAN Module Upgrade

HP Recommended
HP Omen 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am currently experiecing connection drops with my AC7260. I tried changing all the advanced options but looks like my card is already faulty. Yup it's only a year old and it is already faulty. Since my warranty is out already, I just want to know if the new HP Omen-15 is compatible with the new AC8260NGW. Been looking for information everywhere if the laptop has whitelist. No luck so I have no choice but to ask haha.

Thank you,

Maurice

Hello @mbasobas95,

I understand that you are having an issue with the WLAN Module, and wanted to assist you!

Based on the following guide, here are all the compatible WLAN Modules for your notebook:

HP OMEN Notebook - Maintenance and Service Guide (Chapter 1, Page 2).

● Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 (non v-Pro) 802.11 AC 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapte

● Intel Wireless 7260BN 802.11 bgn 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapter

It seems like the AC8260NGW is not one of the supported WLAN Modules.
