HP Omen Hinge Issue

HP Recommended
HP Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have owned this laptop for a few months now, and recently the hinge has been creaking when I open and close it. It is random when it happens, sometimes it is loud, and other times it doesnt make a sound. Is there any way to fix this?

Not sure if the Omen and Envy use the same case / hinge arrangement.... but the left hinge on the Envy is a huge failure point.  However....  HP will fix the Envy hinge quickly and professionally if it's in warranty....  so don't wait!   Get it fixed before your warranty expires.   After that, they will charge $100 to $300 to fix it and claim it's from normal use.

@NWayne1

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

The Omen hinge appears to be a very different design than the Envy, so I don't think my information would be relevant in your case....

but good luck anyway!
