HP omen control not changing anything

HP Recommended
HP omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased a HP omen tonight and I've been having trouble all night trying to the the omen control center to work. I've gone through various posts doing what theyve said like updating all the stuff and  doing a BIOS update and installing and reinstalling, all to no avail. It's really frustrating as I just spent a good chunk of money on this laptop and it isnt working how it is supposed to. are there any new answers to this problem? because al the posts im finding are from 2015 and I can't find anything current.

@Scrotacles

Welcome to HP Forums,

this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand the HP omen control doesn't change colors,

The HP Omen control panel allows you to change the lights and how it functions and if it isn't: Click here for steps to resolve.

Here's a list of functionalities supported by the HP Omen Control:

  • Working with user profiles
  • Programming the gaming keys
  • Customizing the lighting for each keyboard zone
  • Using the Advanced keyboard settings

HP OMEN Control is a utility that allows you to customize your keyboard for your specific gaming needs, for details: Click here

I have a few links that should help you download and install the HP System Event Utility which should get you back up and illuminated in the right colors once the Omen Control is installed:

The link for the System Event Utility: Click here

Omen Controller: Click here

Let me know how that pans out,

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
