Left fan runs a lot slower than right fan

HP Recommended
Omen 15-ax002np
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For some reason the left fan runs at minimal speeds compared to the right fan.

In addition, whenever the right fan (fan1) speeds up, the left fan (fan2) immediatly slows down.

The computer is new (bought 2 days ago), and has always been like this.

I've updated all drivers and BIOS and the problem persists.

@Mr_G_W

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand the left fan runs a lot slower than the right fan, don't worry as I have a few steps that should help your cause:

This can be related to the hardware or drivers as you may have noticed.

Please begin with a hard reset.

Once the notebook is back on follow the documents that pertain to cleaning and testing the hardware:

HP Notebook PCs - Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating

HP Notebook PCs - Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly, PC is Warmer than Normal

HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 10, 😎

If the issue persists, please Contact HP as one of the two fans may require a replacement:

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone numberCase number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.
