Omen Control Not working - 64 Bit, Windows 10

HP Recommended
OMEN by HP Laptop PC - 15t-ax0
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there, I understand this is a common problem.  The recommended solutions have not worked.  Omen control panel was not installed on my new laptop.  I downloaded it.  It will open (but is much too small to read easily).  It does not turn keyboard lights on or control the fan.  I downloaded the Event Utility as recommended.  It installs but nothing changes.  What do I do now?

@Rebel300r

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

I understand that your OMEN's back-lit keyboard is not working.,
I'm not sure if you did a BIOS update, but if you have - pressing F5 will turn it back on.

However, If F5 does not resolve the issue, then make sure your OMEN is up to date using the HP Support document Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 😎.

Hi Riddle, sounds a bit like a form letter.  F5 does not work, and my drivers are up to date.  Is there any chance that there are some solutions that are more in depth?

@Rebel300r

Thank you for the update,
I appreciate your time and efforts,

Be it form letter or not, the only thing that matters to me is an assured solution for you,

Since that didn't help, though, Here's what you could do next:

Please remove all installed applications for the Omen controller and then install it from this link: Click here

For step by step guidance: Click here

Let me know how that pans out,

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

Hey RIddle, I did not mean anything with that form letter comment.  Turns out after talking with HP support on the phone for more than 45 minutes, HP Omen Control is not installed on Windows 10 Laptops as the fan speed is now controlled by CoolSense and the ability to change keyboard color/intensity is not possible on W10.  I really wish I had known that before I bought it!  Have a good day.
