I have a HP laptop that after a lot of pain is actually an amazing device .....  I took hours of technical support to fix all the Windows 10 issues ...

Recently I bought a HP Omen X9000  mouse from from Bestbuy becasue it was on sale and had a button arrangment I liked.

For a month or 2 I enjoyed this mouse   ..... but slowly over time single clicks became double clicks.  At first it was once in a while but now when I use the mouse for more that 10 minutes it is so annoying and dangerous to use.  I ue this mouse mostly for Lightroom and innappropriate double clicking and failed click drags can have disaterous conseqiuences.

This is almost certainly becasue the contacts on the mouse are boucing so much that Win 7 X64 can't handle it.  I could also be a M$ service pack mucking things up.  Not likely though..... But either way I don't really care  ... my mouse is unsuable.

Don't bother refering me to all the web resources from M$ and others on how to deal with this ..... been there doen that....  wasted hours already  ..... my 30$ mouse has costed me 100$ in my own labour.

So I contacted HP and the website told me my warranty was expired  ....  I disputed this and they admitterd that my warranty was valid but didn't start an RMA.

I wasted 20 minutes figuring out how to start an RMA ...... failed   ..... looks like I have to call HP as that is the only option left that I haven't tried.

I can but a mouse for 4$ from the dollar store .... my old Logitech mouse still works great after 6 years but not with the precision of the X9000 .....  The only reason people like me that actually do something with tech buy HP is becasue we believe that we won't have to deal with these issues.

I actually like this mouse ..... but not the run around.

PS  ......  If I have to get our the magnifying glass to read those tiny model and serial numbers on my mouse one more time I am going to scream.

I decided to suffer and call HP tech support fro this issue.....

It was the worst tech support experience I have ever had.

Thier answer  .... it doesn't always double click for a single click so it is my system at fault.

After getting the same answer a few times I just hung up ....

I doubt I will get a follow up email to track my satifaction with this issue.

HP just died for me today.

I hope my HP laptop doesn't die soon too becasue I won't even bother calling support.
