graphics card

HP Recommended
HP 110--23w
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

We have a HP 110-023w Desktop PC (ENERGY STAR).

My son wants to play more games on it. We need more RAM and a GRAPHICS CARD.

There doesn't seems to be a slot for the graphics card. What can we do?

Can someone link me to the right items to purchase?

I am at a loss and I am not in the market for a new computer right now.

Hi,

The following shows the specs of your computer

1. You already know, no slot for a video card,

2. No other option for games,

3. Tell him to wait for next Christmas or the following Christmas.

Regards.

Sadly, this system is more of a 'general purpose' unit and was not designed for heavy gaming in mind so it is not expandable to accomodate this. 😞

The best you can do is upgrade the CPU and RAM as you have noted.

Sorry we don't have a better answer. 😞

Best CPU that unit can use is an Intel Core i3-3240T (Ivy Bridge) Dual Core.
Amazon is out of stock at the moment, but say they will have some again soon.

As for the memory, I will assume you want to be frugal, so here is some that will work. You can put two of these in your systme to bring it to 16 GB.

Hope this helps!

@iMaxx and @Jillb75

From the link on my first reply, this machine does not use Intel processor. I don't think you can put an Intel processor on an AMD motherboard.

Regards.

Your correct, and Intel CPU cannot go into an AMD board.

Jill has stated that they have an HP 110-023w which is Intel.
