Hi @alanio

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I see that you are having a problem with your Omen not saving your settings. I will be happy to help. I do have a few questions for you. What settings in the control panel is it not saving? What is your product number? Are you using Windows 8 or 8.1? Do you have a Restore Point set from before this happened?

Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue.

alanio, do you still have HP System Event Utility installed in your system?  HP OMEN Control needs HP System Event Utilty installed to function correctly.  Also, ensure the F1-F12 hot key feature isn't turned off in the F10 BIOS setup menu.
